They Earned It!
In the Spring of 2019, Greenville High School received a Dollar General Grant in the amount of $2500 to be used for a summer reading program. On October 28th, Mr. Jackson, Mrs. Heaton, and Mrs. Barnes celebrated with students who had met their summer reading goals. The students were asked to read 8 hours over the summer break, and some read more than what was required. Students were selected from grades 9-12. Students participating in the summer myON reading program all received a certificate and t-shirts. We had three students that went above and beyond the requirements and they each received an Amazon gift card. Those three students were Pamela Patterson, Na’taira Alford, and Melissa Charles. Congratulations to all the students for meeting their summer reading goals and for taking time out of their summer vacation break. We want to thank Coach Wynn and Coach Tenny for encouraging their athletes to read over the summer. We also want to thank the parents for supporting this summer reading program.
