Greenville High School will hold Report Card Conferences for this grading period for 2017-2018 school year on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 8:30AM – 10:30AM. We will have community leaders coming in the building to speak with our students individually. The community leaders will consist of local business owners, retired teachers, local ministers, and middle school teachers (in the building). These mini conferences will provide all of students an opportunity to meet with a caring adult one-on-one to review their academic progress over the past nine weeks. These conferences are designed to create a positive interaction between the students and an adult community member. This has been a successful practice in other districts. Past participants have stated that this experience has provided both the student and the volunteer with a “feel good” moment. Every student who participates will receive a certificate signed by the volunteer.
No action is necessary on your part unless you wish to opt out of participation in the Community Volunteer Report Card Conference.
