Students Study Ancient Greece in 9th Grade Lit Class

Students explored Ancient Greece in Ms. Ferguson’s 9th Grade Lit class and got to “meet” several Greek gods, goddesses, and monsters! They researched myths and created Facebook profiles for the divine gods. They worked in groups in three different stations and created t-charts and double bubble maps to compare and contrast Greek art. They also created character catalogs and even painted myths on Grecian urns! Students were able to define epithet, myth, characterization (indirect and direct), tragic flaws, and internal and external conflict! They were given 3,2,1 tickets out the door and they studied parallel structure during warm ups. Students also successfully submitted their first five paragraph persuasive essays! Awesome job to both Ms. Ferguson and all of her hardworking students!
