Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week!!! Thank you to ALL of the GMHS teachers, paras, and staff members for all you do each and every day. Words cannot express how much we appreciate you and how blessed our students and community are to have you!

**Special thanks to Mr. Owens and Dr. Jones for putting together everything for Teacher Appreciation Week, with the help of several others, including Ms. Godfrey and Ms. Holloway, as well as Ms. Marti Stephens at West GA RESA. (Forgive me if I’m forgetting anyone else!)

***Extra special thanks to all of our parents, alumni, and members of the community for pitching in money and donating items to give our well-deserving teachers and staff a Teacher Appreciation Week for the books!!!

Thank you very much to those of you who made our last day of Teacher Appreciation Week an awesome one!!! Thank you to Toya Michelle, Latonya Farley, and parents and Class of 1993 for providing a delicious Chick-Fil-A breakfast for our teachers and staff! Thank you to Taiwan Cameron for the amazing lunch from Shane’s Rib Shack! And thank you to Tonya Kelley, Sonya Kelley, and Carvina Kelley for the goodie bags!

Our community, parents, and alumni have really spoiled the teachers and staff this year to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and we truly appreciate all of your support from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you for standing by us and for helping us guide our students to achieve, grow, and succeed!

Yesterday was Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers started off their days with some delicious Krispy Kreme donuts, fruit, yogurt, and juice. The good food continued at lunchtime with BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and rolls from Dinner’s Ready by Chad. In the afternoon, members of the Greenville Middle High admin team passed out school spirit shirts and teachers’ favorite candy bars.

And shout out to Coach P. who won the spinning wheel prize for Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week — a gift card to Waffle House! Congrats Coach!

As always, thank you to all the teachers, staff members, parents, alumni, and community members who have helped us spoil our amazing faculty this week!

Day 3 of Teacher Appreciation Week started off right with McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, and juice! The deliciousness continued in the afternoon with ham and turkey sliders, chips, and brownies for lunch.

In the afternoon, Mr. Owens spun our teacher prize wheel, and three lucky teachers – Coach Pickett, Mr. Olson, and Ms. Guzman – won gift cards to Waffle House! All teachers were also presented with personally monogrammed water bottles as Teacher Appreciation gifts yesterday!

Thank you again teachers for all that you do! And thank you to all of the parents, alumni, and community members who continue to support the GMHS Teacher Appreciation Week with their donations and contributions!

For Day 2 of Teacher Appreciation Week, teachers and staff enjoyed items from a fruit bar for breakfast (complete with fruit, granola bars, yogurt, breakfast pastries, and juice). For lunch, Mr. Maurice (our favorite custodian and in-house comedian) put his grill master skills to the test to whip up some hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone!! Baked beans, potato salad, dessert cookies, and goodie bags made by Ms. Dyal’s awesome mom, Jackie Dyal, rounded out our delicious lunch! In the afternoon, teachers and staff enjoyed sweet treats from Frios Gourmet Pops thanks to alumni from the Class of 1997! Mr. Frank and Mrs. Frances Tucker also donated a beautiful floral arrangement to our building to express their support and appreciation for our faculty and staff here at GMHS. We are truly grateful for your act of kindness! Thank you again to every for your contributions to make this Teacher Appreciation Week a great one at GMHS!

Day 1 was spent spoiling our teachers (we have THE BEST around!) with breakfast and lunch. Breakfast consisted of two delicious homemade breakfast casseroles, muffins, breakfast pastries, and juice. For lunch, the Greenville Middle High School faculty and staff got to chow down on some delicious chicken fajitas from Moe’s followed by cheesecake bites and muffin bags for dessert!!!
